LIST OF ITEMS STRICTLY PROHIBITED FOR INTERNATIONAL MAIL SHIPMENTS
- Items that may pose a danger to people or risk damaging or contaminating other shipments.
- Flammable or explosive materials, corrosive substances, and other goods listed in the ADR Convention.
- Weapons or ammunition.
- Items prohibited by law in the country of origin, transit, or destination (e.g., ivory and products made from it).
- Drugs, psychotropic substances, and new psychoactive substances (so-called "legal highs"), as well as hemp products, derivatives, and other types of cannabis that are not classified as fiber hemp (including medical marijuana).
- Live animals.
- Human or animal organs, bodily fluids, and metabolic waste products of humans or animals.
- Ashes or remains of deceased persons or animals.
- Items of obscene or immoral nature.
- Documents containing personal and private correspondence of individuals who are not the sender, recipient, or persons residing with them.
- Counterfeit goods and pirated copies.
Additionally, Meest Post does not accept parcels containing:
- Items subject to excise duty labeling (alcohol, tobacco products).
- Dried tobacco as defined by the Excise Duty Regulation and denatured alcohol.
- Medicines and pharmaceutical products as defined by the applicable pharmaceutical legislation, as well as components for the production of pharmaceutical products.
- Perishable goods that require special transportation conditions.
- Animal-origin products specified in Commission Regulation (EC) No. 206/2009 of March 5, 2009.
ADDITIONAL ITEMS PROHIBITED FOR MAIL SHIPMENT TO/FROM SELECTED COUNTRIES:

- Tobacco, tobacco products, and industrial tobacco substitutes
- Electronic smoking devices: e-cigarettes, vapes, IQOS, POD systems, etc.
- Alcohol
- Used, unclean clothing and footwear
- Pet food
- Seeds, saplings, and timber from rare tree species
- Artworks, collectibles, and antiques
- Identity documents, such as passports or ID cards
- Expired medicines or those without original packaging
- Animal-based food products (except factory-sealed goods up to 10 kg per parcel)
- Banknotes, bearer securities, and foreign currency
- Books and magazines published in Russia or Belarus, as well as any books and magazines in Russian
- Goods originating from Russia, Belarus, or temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories
- Electric fishing equipment, poaching tools, monofilament nets, hunting traps, etc.
- Live pathogenic microorganisms (including bacteria, viruses, fungi, rickettsiae, mycoplasmas)
- Acids, pesticides, and agrochemicals
- Containers with liquids labeled with hazard symbols (Classes 1-7) or without manufacturer labels
- Used car batteries
Frames, engines, chassis, and components for vehicles, as well as electric vehicles (e-scooters, skateboards, roller skates, etc.) may require customs duties and VAT.
⚠ IMPORTANT!
If a parcel is suspected of containing prohibited items, the carrier may inspect it before acceptance and refuse further transportation. Unclaimed parcels containing prohibited or unverified items will be destroyed. Sending prohibited goods may result in penalties according to applicable regulations.
