To determine the cost of shipping, the greater of the actual weight or dimensional weight is utilized. The following are formulas for the dimensional weight in lbs. and kg*
Volume Weight (Dimensional Weight) –
How Shipping is Calculated
When shipping by air, your parcel is charged based on the greater of actual weight or volume weight (also called dimensional weight)
Volume Weight Formula:
In KG:
Length × Width × Height (in cm) ÷ 5000
Example:
If your box is 40 × 30 × 50 cm, then:
Volume weight = 40 × 30 × 50 ÷ 5000 = 12 kg
If actual weight is 8 kg, we will charge for 12 kg (the higher one).
